For this mini diploma, we, Miloš Gavrić and Noé Gogniat, will research, visualise and question the vast theme that is noise.
The definition of noise is multifaceted, noise refers to:

a sound or sounds, especially when it is unwanted, unpleasant, or loud ¹
the auditory experience of sound that lacks musical quality; sound that is a disagreeable auditory experience ²
genre of music that is characterised by the expressive use of noise ³
random variation of brightness or color information in images ⁴
the quality of lacking any predictable order or plan ⁵
unexplained or unexpected information in a sample that is not useful and that can be ignored ⁶
the unwanted parts of a situation, especially ones that make it more difficult for you to do or understand something ⁷
random, unpredictable, and undesirable signals, or changes in signals, that mask desired information content or anything that works against a message reaching its destination ⁸
a source for sculpting hi-hat, clap and percussion sounds ⁹
distortions produced in one's handwriting by a moving train ¹⁰

Noise is unbound to typical dichotomies, it is both: analog and digital, chaotic and ordered, subjective and objective, pleasant and unpleasant. It is nothing and yet, in its infinity, it represents and contains everything and anything conceivable.
